Last week I had the pleasure of visiting friends at the Cody Firearms Museum for the annual Arsenals of History Symposium and I took the opportunity to go and visit a special exhibition I’ve been really excited to see. In April the museum launched their Arms of the Revolution special exhibition which has brought together an excellent array of firearms from the period.
Working with Fort Ticonderoga and the Minuteman National Historic Site and private collections they’ve brought together a comprehensive display including pistols, muskets, rifles and blunderbusses all expertly contextualised and pulled together with art from legendary painter Don Troiani. At the centre of the exhibition there’s also several projectiles which were excavated from the battlefields of Concord & Lexington.

The team at the CFM: Danny Michael, Tyler Berger and Jathan Clarke did an incredible job putting the exhibition together and bringing the ‘arms of the revolution’ to life.
